As Becca noted in the previous post, we each took a different route on interpreting the use of the couch frame(s). She used just the first couch and I operated with the notion of using multiple (3) couches on the same installation.
My proposal involves using the different back and base pieces to create an overall structure.
The first idea utilizes the triangular back pieces as a wall unit. The unit could be sheathed with pieces of leather to create a wind barrier. Using the mesh instead would create somewhat of a wind barrier as well as allow light to pass through to illuminate the inside of the structure. The base pieces also create a wall to allow the third triangular back to be used as a roof structure. The same idea can apply here, cover the structure with leather to shelter the interior of the structure but the sawtooth form will allow light to enter the space from above. This particular configuration allows ease of build on to create more/bigger modules for additional people.
The second idea utilizes the base pieces to create a low, more enclosed structure. Fabric could be stretched across these frames to create a wind barrier. Again the triangular pieces are utilized for the roof form. Leather can be stretched to create an overhead shelter and the sawtooth form created will allow light into the space. One advantage of this configuration is it maximizes privacy for the user.
